Reviewing T-Mobile’s MyTouch

With the thousands of people that have Nextel, Verizon or At&t, there are others who have the T-mobile. Those providers each have their own touch screen smart phones. For T-Mobile, it is the myTouch 3G. The myTouch is the top of the line smart phone that just came out of the works improving the first Google smart phone. This phone has some advantages and some disadvantages as do all phones.

Advantages

With the myTouch, you can surf the web nearly anywhere you get signal or wifi. So far, I have yet to find a place that it can’t find a signal. The touch screen is very able to sense the flick, touch, or the slightest movement of your finger. The applications are nearly the same as those in the App store for the iPhone and also being a second generation from Google allows there to be very well done applications that seem to be free of any bugs or mishaps.

Being a product from Google, the phone links up to your gmail account. This means that your calendar and mail are synced to your online account. The changes made on your phone show up to your computer as well.

The myTouch also has the ability to use GPS or Global Positioning Satellites and voice interpretation software. Using the voice commands and GPS through your phone, it can lead you to the nearest CVS or Walmart or Pep Boys virtually hands free.

The accessories that you get are all you really need except a case, but who wouldn’t want to protect their investment of two hundred dollars? It comes with headphones and the appropriate jack, a silk case and a plug in charger. The way that the charger works is that the cord that you use to plug it in the computer is the same cord that you plug into the charger. There is only one cord in this whole process. You also receive a travel carrying case instead of the normal cardboard box. This case fits everything for your myTouch. A very neat tidbit about the myTouch is that there are designer plates that you can buy for yours. You can design and make them too for a little bit extra.

Disadvantages

Because it is a smart phone with the ability to access the web, email, and use multiple internet messengers, you have to have a data plan. This adds at least twenty bucks to the month’s bill.

I feel like a security might be a problem. Since the phone is signed on and linked to your gmail account, it allows someone to see your calendar, your email, and access to whatever other accounts you have accessed on it. The only thing that a thief needs to know is your pattern of the connection of dots as your key lock. Then, they have everything.

The myPhone is a general good phone to have. It can be as unique as your are, and allow you to access plenty of unique things as well. The size of the phone is competitive with the blackberry’s and other competitors so that is neither a plus nor minus. This is your best choice for a cell phone in this market.
