Ellion LazBox-110: Plays all formats for $99

Looking for a way to play your favorite audio or video files through your brand new HD television without using a computer or other expensive media streaming device? Then you might want to cast your peepers over at the LazBox-110 from Ellion.

Although small in size, this media box boasts plenty of features when it comes to playing all sorts of digital formats. First off, the LazBox-110 has 1080p capable playback thanks to its HDMI 1.3 output, so your high-def digital files will be sure to look crisp and clean.

The unit also features several input source choices ranging from a SD/MS/MMC memory card slot, (2) USB 2.0 ports so you can connect other USB drives/devices or you can even choose playback over a network with the 110’s built-in Samba, FTP or UPnP client. And if that wasn’t enough for you, the 110 can play back virtually all audio and video formats out there in Internetland according to the manufacturer. Here’s the list:

Video
MPEG-1/MPEG-2/MPEG-4, M1V/M2V/M4V, TS, TP, TRP, M2T, M2TS, MTS, MKV, WMV, AVI, VOB, M2P, ASF, XviD SD/HD, DivX SD/HD, H.264, WMV9, VC-1, AVCHD

Audio
Dolby, DTS, AAC, M4A, MPEG (MP1, MP2, MP3, MPA), WAV, WMA, LPCM, FLAC, Vorbis, OFF, ISO, IFO, DTS Downmix

What will really peak your attention, though, is the price tag of the 110 which is only $99.

Sadly, the Ellison LazBox-110 is only available in European markets at the moment. Ellison, however, does have plans to sell the device in North America beginning next year through Amazon and so those of us wanting for an inexpensive media streaming box with good features, need only wait a few months to get one.
