Ikanos names Debajyoti Pal CTO
Ikanos Communications Inc. on Monday named Debajyoti Pal chief technology officer.
Fremont-based Ikanos (NASDAQ:IKAN) provides advanced broadband semiconductor and software products for the digital home.
A 27-year veteran in the communication and semiconductor industry, Pal “has extensive experience identifying and developing new technologies and products, and a proven record of successfully bringing products from concept phase to product delivery,” the company said.
Before joining Ikanos, Pal was CTO and executive in residence at San Francisco-based Tallwood Venture Capital.
He also founded Telicos Corp. and Excess Bandwidth Corp. He began his career at Santa Clara-based Intel Corp. (NASDAQ:INTC), where he was on the 80286-microprocessor design engineering team.
Pal holds seven U.S. patents, has published more than 30 technical papers, is a Fellow of the IEEE and has served as a consulting professor of electrical engineering at Stanford University over the last 12 years.
