I don’t know why even I voted for him. I see he shows no symphathy for the voices of Ethiopians. Hope he will sooner or later.

The protesters were doing well. The slogans were eye-catching and sound. Probably there were a handful of pretenders of the protest that wanted to spoil the main purpose of the protest. The Police was requesting the protesters to pull back off the demarcated space. But the protesters refused to do so accordingly and the situation could be escalated. It was not as such a successful protest. It was very emotional and aggressive. I’m sorry to say that. The best thing should have been to send a written protest beside the street show down. Meles ridicules the protest as usual unless an organized and representative thinking is reflected on the protest. While Meles was leading a luxurious life with leading world leaders many a men and women were arrested and persecuted in Ethiopia. But the problem is there is no good speaker that could influence others in a smart way.

Commentator No.6 above(Gobena) had good observation. Being in a safe place in America, did Berhanu Nega attended the demonstration or stay at home and see the situation through TV and internet. In the 2005 post elction demonstration, no member of the opposition parties nor their sons and daughters were seen in that bloody day. Why not then and why not now?????????????

  7. Hager fikir says:

G20 itself is corrupt and that is why the support a corrupt government dictator. when the so called developed countries say that they stand for the oppressed people, they just give you a lip service. i even doubt that a real and genuine democracy is existed in the world. they just go with their interest . Hey folks i am increasingly convinced that only ethiopians can change the political climate in ethiopia.

i am proud of the G20 ethiopian protesters and that you came out with courage and enthusiasm you show it the world that the so called G20 embracing blood sucker, Melese Zenawi instead of arresting and brought him to justice. Shame on you….
Shame on also IMf, World Bank and Donor countries..

  8. Dave says:

This protest was one of the most unsuccessful compared to the past (eg. London). How could only 30 people showed up? Where were our leaders? I feel that something is going on behind the opposition camp!!

Regarding Obama, we shouldn’t expect much from him. The guy simply wants to be at the center of everything by giving hope. But the reality is completely a different story.

I hope Elias assess the performance of Obama and post some article in the near future. This assessment will give us a general picture.

    God bless Ethiopia!
