Wow very impressive; proud to be Ethiopian! we have a colorful history of defeating enemies of all sorts and Ethiopia is destined to live until the end of the days. No enemy can shake our country be it from out side or inside the country. God is great !

Is it appropriate for ER to post this video? I can't understand why it is back on this site, after being removed some months ago after it appeared briefly.

I'm not intending to oppose the purpose of the video message, but I wish ER sticks to its pure political agenda. If it has any relevance to all the constituencies an introductory comment by the editor would be important so as to avoid possible misunderstandings.

I enjoyed the video. However, the image of a white man as Jesus is repulsive. I can assure you the Jesus we know was not a white man. The Virgin Mary was not white. As much as I enjoyed the clear and innocent narration and presentation of the video, I often get upset to see whites representing purity and godly images. Neither of this are accurate.
Historically Jesus and Mary are from the middle east and they may resemble the people in those areas or even Africans.

One more tradgedy for churches without a Shepard. What a pity there is no detail for those who want to contribute. Is there any way the editor of ER Could find out and put it on his site.

  7. Gashaw says:

    Unity,
I don't think the white Jesus is from the Qeranio Medhanialem. I assume the editors/producers of the video inserted that image.
My message to Elias/ ER is that there what we call " Ye Kesaren le Kesar, ye amelaken le amelake". ER is best fitted for worldly( alemawi) things not religious preaching.
    Thank you

  8. Abebe Shenkut says:

It is seems that the priest is telling fairy tales similar to the current hit movie Narnia…..Tell these 75 million folks to get off their asses and work, work. If they can not find work, they should just create for themselves. Stop begging. You are telling me that your have a very rich and magnificent history. Leave that to the history books and get to work now to improve yourself. Push yourself to the utmost limit to be creative and don't take no for answer from your own guts. Stop blaming others for your poverty. Look at those people in Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and above all Hong Kong. They were downright destitute just 40, 50 years ago. They have very proud history like you. But they did not have so many resources like you. They decided that begging does not provide permanent solution for their poverty. They went down to work with no or very little resources they had. They had very bad leaders like you. They were killed, tortured and imprisoned just like you. But their directed their anger toward their living conditions. It was not so easy for them. It needed the ultimate resolution. And they did it. Look at them now. Just look at them.

jesus and mary look like modern day ethiopians or people from the horn of africa - they are africans. after the presented evidence, how could you say that they were from the middle east? i hope you do not think that they look like the modern day inhabitants of the middle east.

I share comment No. 4. I some times consider EV as a medium for exchange of free political ideas relevant to all Ethiopians. But when I see some of its headline contents, God, it perplexes me. I believe that except in the comment section it should not carry 'teret teret' that praises some peoples of Ethiopia and does the opposite to other peoples because it does not unit people so does not serve the purpose of EV assuming that deep at heart it wants unity among equal peoples (true unity of Ethiopia) Today we do not need Yohanis’s ambition or blunder or Halesillasie’s fiction- Zemnegede yihuda bila bila bila.. We need healing and unity among equal people.

#10 People like you are the one who tried to lie about our real history.Evrybody in this world can't make the same history. Some has bad and some has good history. The Ethiopia we found now was not just handed to us freely. One of the people who took care of that country is Atse Haile Selassie that you are insulting. When I was in high school I was against Atse Hile Selassie. My Mom told me"selematawkiew neger atenagere, ken talian mata shifta syasekayene yaderal selam yagegnenew be Haile selassie new"Now I know what she meant.Watch your big mouth.
