Fraud and misrepresentation has been rampant in the adoption industry in Ethiopia for a long time as we have witnessed it here. There has also been a very good investigative report done by the Australian TV recently. The sad thig is the middle men who corrupt poor people and mislead them in to ‘selling’ their own children are so called Christian – Westernized by American evangelists.
What we see here is only the children who were adopted by decent families. Can you imagine what has happened to a lot of the other thousands of them? Do we have any idea where these kids end up?
The regime is partly responsible for this. They export kids, they export young girls to the middle east just like cereal or coffee only to fill their coffers without regard to the consequences .
That makes the need for and placement of a representative and RESPONSIBLE Government more important and urgent than ever.

child selling in ethiopia is very common business, there a chain of dealers and brookers in that business, normally children sold belong to single mothers or power families.the price of one child depending on age,sex and general health condition ranges from $4000 to $6000,only 60% of the price goes to the family of the child
