This is one of those sad things that can happen when one lives in grinding poverty, lacks many options for survival and belong to country that is not in a position to take care of its nationals when difficults arise.

I donot believe the Kuwaiti Arab police will care any to find the Arab rapists. My fear is, as they usually do, they may accuse her in return for what they usually call "lying and of accusing the upright Kuwaitis for rape".
The crimes being committed against women from poor countries such as Ethiopia in the Arab world is countless.
The worst is, when the Arabs accuse the women victims in return to what they call defending "a moslem's honour".
A lot of crimes have been committed against Habesha women in places like Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emerates such as Dubai, Yemen …
There was no single Habesha prson who cried for Labanon when Israel leveled it down. One Habesha friend who lived in Saudi said: "I wish Sadam Hussien had burned down the whole Saudi monarchy in deep oil wells instead of invading kuwait".

To add heat upon another heat, they kidnapped her, gaggled her, bundled her, drove her to a sandy desert of burning heat and raped her in that silent, windless, and inhospitable desert, but the good news is that they didn’t kill her.
Revenge is the only word that we Ethiopians have to use against such Arab rapists and other criminals who victimize our Ethiopian sisters wherever they are, either in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Egypt, or somewhere else.
When Timar was raped by Absalom, her brother Amnon killed Absalom and took away the disgrace from his sister, and when Dinah, Jacob’s daughter, was kidnapped, taken to another town and raped, her brothers, Simeon and Levi destroyed Shechem the rapist and killed his entire family and neighbors. It is also true that when the Levite’s wife from Bethlehem was raped the whole night by the lawless Benjamite men, the Israelis fought the Benjamites and killed about 25,100 Benjamites. Historically, rape has been a serious crime sometimes punishable by death.
The disgrace of our Ethiopian sister should not be ignored by all of us in the diaspora and at home; we clearly see our country is being raped repeatedly by Meles Zenawi and our sisters abroad are being violated and sent home empty handed and to be raped by Meles’ political gangs. Where should they go? Is there a safest place for them where they can work peacefully and earn some money to support themselves and their family?

please don't Melesize this unfortunate incident.Ethiopian women have been victims of Arabs before his adminstration too.The question should be, do we have a government that follow the incident through a diplomatic means to bring these criminals to justice ? Unfortunetly I doubt it .Ethiopians never had a goverment that stand for their right in their won country, not alone in another country.

#10 writes: “Please don’t Melesize this unfortunate incident. Ethiopian women have been victims of Arabs before his administration too.” It seems to me the person who wrote the above two sentences is probably defending Meles, the greatest rapist ever lived in Ethiopia if not in the whole world. If Meles had given them jobs in their own country, most Ethiopian girls would have never fallen into the hands of their Arabs sex offenders. For the crime of this kind that has destroyed many Ethiopian girls, Meles is accountable, so every crime, every theft, every injustice, and every lie must be attributed or, to use #10’s word, must be “Melesized” because of Meles’ lack of good leadership and honesty.

dear etsegenet, you can't change the order of the world ,but you can change th way you see things.don't be negative about the world.in practical sense, what you get is what u give.if you assume that u live in hostile world, you get in turn the same hostility.there always will be tomorrow.

#12 I'm not defending Meles. But the truth is the truth. You can not blame all the problems on Meles.Indeed Meles might be part of the problem. But the issue at hand never been and will never be a problem of one government . Ethiopia was raped by succesive governments.Meles is not capable of solving Ethiopian women problem overnight .It needs a COLLECTIVE endevor of the next Melesless governments .
July 2nd, 2008 at 4:03 pm
#14 is right that “Ethiopia was raped by successive governments.” However, the difference between the successive governments’ rape and Meles’ rape is absolute clear. The other governments may have raped Ethiopia occasionally and left her alive, but Meles raped Ethiopia repeatedly with his political gangs and killed her. This is the biggest crime Meles has committed – gang-rape and killing.
The other sentence by #14 is “Meles is not capable of solving Ethiopian women problem overnight.” To tell the truth, I hate such a sympathetic sentence toward our enemy – Meles Seitanawi. Meles has been in power for about 20 years and still he is unable to completely destroy Ethiopia though his primary goal is to annihilate from the face of the earth the Oromo, Amhara, and many other tribes of Ethiopia. If he had not have such purpose of destroying Ethiopia, he could have solved the unemployment problems facing Ethiopia, and our young Ethiopian girls could have stayed home and never been victimized by foreign hands.

We can't help, such cunning leaders could be peacefully overthrown only if, God intervains. hence lets cry together to God so that the country would be given a good governanace.

Brothers and Sisters, Rape takes place in Ethiopia every day. It happens to young girls and children, married women raped by strangers. Everyday in Ethiopia this is happening. It is up to us to stand up and fight this evil. Each human being on this earth deserves to live in peace and security. It is not a matter of politics or race but of human dignity.
