Woyanne court rules against Tedy Afro

The kangaroo court in Ethiopia today sent popular singer Tedy Afro back to prison after ignoring the forged hospital record that was produced by the prosecutor.

The original hospital record shows that the victim of the car accident, for which Tedy is charged with hit-and-run and manslaughter, had died one day before on the accident occurred.

Instead of dismissing the case, Judge Leul Gebremariam has decided to accept the prosecutor’s version of the document that is signed by a physician who did not even perform the autopsy the accident victim.

Judge Leul Gebremariam ruled that there is enough evidence against Tedy and ordered him to come back to court in October to start defending himself against the charges. Tedy was then hauled back to the filthy, disease-infested jail.

Tedy’s lawyer, Ato Million Assefa, continues to poorly represent the singer, causing the client some times to speak up for himself in the court room. Many of Tedy’s supporters are puzzled as to why Ato Million, a well-known Woyanne sympathizer, is hired as a defense lawyer. Family members who were asked about the defense lawyer said that he was retained by Teddy eight years ago.

At today’s court appearance five women who cried after hearing the judge’s decision to send Tedy back to jail were taken to jail by Federal Police.

The court room was full and that many have been turned away.

Judge Luel is one of the three judged who tried Kinijit leaders.

  1. What we need is not a few women weeping. What we need is people to hold out some kind actiong and do something terrible against these weyana insects.

  2. That’s a sad story!! No one should expect justice for Teddy unless the whole Ethiopia is free of the Bandits that lead us!! We neeed to fight them!!!

Elias, I am sure you did not write this news on Teddy!! please correct the gramatically incorrect sentences!!

  3. Oh! Another bad day for Ethipia!!!!
I feel bad about the lack of justice for Teddy Afro who has in prison just because Meles Seytanwi want to satisfy the so called weyane supporters specifically the weyane Tigrians who had been developed a rough hate against Teddy Afro due to their ignorant mentality that was highly propagated by Weyane top officials as Teddy had cussed out the weyane rebel fighters, while Teddy had sung his lyrics based on clear and simple facts. Anyway, I still feel bad about the Meles Seytanawi decision on our hero Teddy Afro as I’m feeling so bad for millions of prisoners that have been concentrated in weyane prisoners for a long period of time just because they are suspected that they had a different political view with the weyane government such as OLF, kinijit, ONLF, and other. These thousands of prisoners didn’t get enough attention by many of us. Most of the prisoners had left their many families for severe problems due to the fact that they were the income generators for their family members before they thrown to jail by Meles seytanawi decission. I am urging everyone to stand for all the prisoners including Teddy Afro that have been locked in weyane prison for politically affiliated reasons. Let’s all stand together for all prisoners that have never been mentioned or remembered but have been suffering their life in jail. I mean how many of us have ever thought about the many thousands of prisionorers that were thrown by agazi force along with kinijit leaders but still being suffering everyday along with many thousands of their families.

    FREE ALL POLITICAL AFFLIATED PRISIONS!!!

  4. This is to the people who are dreaming of “peaceful” struggle against Woyanee Tigraians. The Woyanees will never give up power peacefully. The only power the Tigraian bandits believe is the barrel of the gun and that is the only force that will remove them.
Most Tigraians in many parts of Ethiopia are legaly armed and quite often they kill none-Tigraian Ethiopians who dare to argue or challenge them in the day to day life including business but the armed Tigraian “civilians” quite often murder Ethiopians as if they are killing dogs, so far no Tigraian who killed innnocent Ethiopian/s has ever appeared in Woyanee courts.
The Woyanees will either buy their opponents and will throw them to jail as they are doing it against Teddy Afro. The choice is either to fight like my dear heroes as Abdis Aga, Zerai Dires or Ras Emru or live as the slaves in history did.

  5. In a perfect world, the oppositions, Birtukan and Mesfin supposed to fight for Teddy. This is the least they can do for him but they prefer learning “Kilwitna and wushet” in US embassy.
    Regards,

  6. Hey guys there is no organization in the world that stands for the free speech of the muscian like the one we have for journalist. If so we have to explain them what is going on with the Tedy case.

What do you think ato elias?

  7. Oh well, this is what you get for speaking up on behalf of Ethiopian people and loving Ethiopian people. Ethiopians are known for abandoning their heroes during tough times. Let’s hope that Teddy is not going to rote in Jail, because the people of Ethiopia don’t have any will or courage to fight for his freedom; they never fight for their heroes. We all go on with our business while our heroes pay the sacrifice and suffer. Sad, Sad, Sad!

“Jegna Nen” Eyalin kezefenin mech anesen. Dinqem Jegna! Shintam hulu!

  8. Teddy’s situation is a symptom of the widespread injustice perpetrated and being perpetrated against millions of Ethiopians by Meles and his Tigre thugs or better yet since occupation of Ethiopia by Woyane/Tigre.

The hundreds of thousands of Oromos, Sidamas, Agnuaks and Somalis among others who are currently in Woyane dungeons maybe cited as to the immeasurable brutality of Meles and his Tigrean thugs.

As has been said, time and again, Woyanes ate Enemies of Ethiopia and have to be dealt with as such – a complete and total annihiliation through peoples’ uprising. If we are united, it is a matter of weeks if not days to kick out the enemy and punish the criminals!!!

  10. To nefsu,I was laughing and as the same time felt sorry by what You wrote-“Wusha neh,Kimalam”
That is not what I am expecting from an Ethiopian descent. We do have respect to every one and we are known for our decency. In a media where millions are participating such disgusting words are so outragious.
Let us keep the peace in.

  11. ER I don’t understand why you call the weyane buchelas a judeg.Under no condition the so called Leule could not be given a tittle judge. He trained the same school I was trained(yekotebe dengay mamerech).I don’t call myself a judge b/s it is a total shame.Leule and his friends will be judge by Ethiopians one day.I don’t think the time is it too long. “Beseferut kuna mesefer aykerm”

  12. I is sad to see in a court which supposed to be a place for justices an injustices being committed by the very first people who took the oath to uphold the law. Our courts are worse even with the standards of dictatorial countries like Zimbabwe and Kenya. In these countries the courts generally are some what free from the government. It is obvious that our country is leaping forward to a fully blown fascism .It is a big sin to condemn an innocent man for the crime he didn’t commit with a forged evidence. Any one who has a head on the top of his neck knows that teddy is being persecuted in a sham court with political motivation . Those who are running this farce show will pay for there crimes.”Beseferkibet mesferia yiseferilihal” it is sad that other than the immediate victims of the falsely accused the next victims of this lawless judges and prosecutor are their own kids and spouse who are unfortunately have to pay for the sin of these criminals.

  13. I insist that we should organize a petition forum to appeal to the world that the ethiopian judges should be banned from excercising their professional rights. I am sure you know what I mean.

  14. I insist that we should organize a petition forum to appeal to the world judgicial body that the Ethiopian judges should be banned from excercising their professional rights.

  15. We, Ethiopians, were never strategically organized. The current atmosphere of world politics entertains only organized groups, nations and citizens; and our case is much more complicated. Unless we are strategically organized by “thinking again, thinking across and thinking ahead”, we will never see effective governance let alone democracy.
Hundreds of political organizations will not yield tangible solutions rather will create confusion. Three political organizations would be more than enough to digest our political and socioeconomic outlooks under which Ethiopians could be organized. Otherwise, all available resource including time is running out; and will be left with our abundant war of words which was practiced for the last thirty years. “Let us shape our attitudes as citizens and force all political groups to merge into three major groups. Let us remind them that we are their oxygen – if we stop, they stop breathing. Um… but we can not do this because we are not organized.” May God give us a wisdom and open-hearted willingness to establish these organizations and the endurance to stick to our goal not to forget our broad mission even at the time when “the sun sets”.

  16. I am rather surprised that there are still people who believe on the idea of peaceful struggle. Dear Ethiopians, like it or not,the woyanes have been doing WHATEVER IT TAKES to stay in power.Any thing against their interest is just a crime. Do not simply cry Teddy, Hailu, Berhanu… bla bla bla, as woyane has not sense either to listen or watch its people suffering. If we do not break the back of woyane, woyane will keep on breaking us by each day. Let us unite and stand up

  17. I knew from get going some how some day this is going to happened to Tady Afro. I also knew no action will the ethiopian’s will take accept crying . poor guy he did his
best to stand against this stupid govt but we ethiopian’s
don’t even stand up for him pushing to his freedom shame on
    us…

  18. dear compatriots,

These ethno-fascists need to be taught a lesson before it is too late. They have imprisoned everyone who is not an agame. They have plundered the nation’s resources and have transfered it to the agame land. The have brainwashed our population with their rotten ethnic politics. It is time to act now and remove them from our mother becuse to do any less will make us an unhapply accomplices.

    Down with the ethno-fascism

  19. It is a sad story. Teddy is probably one of the few talented artists in the continent. I hope the process is not politically motivated. However, he is also a human being who, like any one else, can make mistakes. If he has truely abondoned the victim after the accident, I gues, he should be subjected to the same procedure as any other ethiopian.

  20. It is very unfortunate but Teddy will languish in Woyane prison until he abandons his “ETHIOPIAWINET”. Woyane is mentally castrating Ethiopian nationalists one by one. We are sitting and waiting for our turn but woyane will not stop his evil deeds unless stopped by a united Ethiopian force.

  21. What a farce! I laughed my head off by this hilarious account of Woyane’s jurisprudence. This is pure slap up comedy, despite the trajic consequences for its principal victims; Teddy, and all Ethopians. A Tour de Force of our time! I am not exagerrating. Seriously, I think this is by far a major land mark achievement, that even surpassed all Marks Brothers classics.
I applaud the defence attorney, Ato Million Assefa, for a great performance. He was better than Al Pacino, rablewho shined in one of these rare intellectual ventures by Hollywood, the legal satirical film, ‘And Justice For All’. I also take my hat off to His Honourable Judge, Ato Leoul W Mariam. In awe, I still wonder by the ability of His Lordship, to keep a straight face, when he is making his grave (literally!) and judicial utterances.
Good show all round. Teddy ‘old boy’, as the British would say, keep your chin up! You have managed to succeed in exposing the true colours of Woyane/EPRDF, with a single song, than all the opposition, at home and abroad have attempted, in a decade and a half.
    God Bless!

  22. I am wondering why Tedy’s relatives are not trying to get another lawyer who can defend him properly instead of sticking to the Woyane one.

It is deliberately set up to demoralize this young true Ethiopian. So can some body do some thing?

    God be with Tedy!

  23. we ethiopian knows only talking but do nothing.what we expect with woyanne. because the so called judge in the court is a pupet mean with out having a basic knowledge. so we must start to take a action against those who support woyane such us do not participate with them in everything and also tried to punish and if possible to take a phisical action by fighting and killing the abusers in the city of the country if we show this they will afraid because next will be them other wise they kill us in the name of justice why not we kill each individual persons in the street of addis ababa and also not participate with those individual has a relation with weyanne

  24. … What is more amazing is this one: ” …At today’s court appearance five women who cried after hearing the judge’s decision to send Tedy back to jail were taken to jail by Federal Police…” What a country??!! … This is too much for my people … too much for our country. …
… Fellow citizens… I think it is time to step up (if not too late)to confront this dictatorship regime!! … We the people will win!!
