Woyanne recalls top generals as Somalia quagmire deepens

August 4th, 2008 |  |  4 Comments

(Garowe Online) MOGADISHU – The Ethiopian Woyanne army’s top two generals serving in Somalia have been recalled to Addis Ababa.

A private plane transported Gen. Gabre and Gen. Yohannis from Aden Adde International Airport, in the Somali capital Mogadishu, according to sources at the airport.

The two generals’ Sunday trip to Addis Ababa is linked to growing discord among the Somali government’s top leaders [puppets] –- mainly, President Abdullahi Yusuf and Prime Minister Nur Adde Hassan Hussein, who have been at odds for the past week.

President Yusuf reinstated close ally Mohamed Dheere as Mogadishu’s mayor, two days after the Cabinet dismissed the mayor in a vote proposed by the Prime Minister.

Confidential sources close to the Somali President tell Garowe Online that Yusuf called Ethiopian Prime Minister dictator Meles Zenawi and accused Gen. Gabre and Gen. Yohannis of “being part of the conspiracy” to oust Mohamed Dheere, an ex-warlord who enjoyed Addis Ababa’s Woyanne’s support for years.

Also, President Yusuf reportedly rejected the Ethiopian leader’s Woyanne’s offer to mediate between him and the Prime Minister, the sources added.

On Sunday, Prime Minister Nur Adde named four new Cabinet ministers after 10 ministers announced they quit the transitional government yesterday.

The woyane is itself very confused. They dies as flies in somalia at the hand of the gallant freedom fighters and NOW the puppet president might become a enemy to them ASWELL.

Many things have been said about the impending Eritrea and Ethiopia war and how it may impact the regimes of both countries. Similarly, the danger from the internal Ethiopian armed group like ONLF, OLF, etc.

However, I do believe that the biggest danger to Woyane’s military machine and their stay in power is their reckless advanger into Somalia. And if for nothing else, when the Woyane army returns from Somalia it will come back as defeated army of a failed mission.
A disillusioned and demoralised army coupled with the dried up USA assistance is a serious enough for the final push of the already tottering Woyane regime.

I just appreciated the way the article is quoted by keeping the original text and crossing it out. I found it quite honest and a fresh breeze in this manipulative machinery called media. I wish all quoting and cross postings were done this way.

    2 diggs for transpanrency.

  4. Kalubicha Derbekasa says:

A few days before people received the news that woyanaetplf will quickly finish the war against shabiya and be back to the old track, the tplfwoyanae general was recalled like big three and other major car manufacturers do so when the cars they made found to be defective.

righ now it has become a thing of hype that this upcoming battle between shaibya and woyanaetplf is expected to produce a great deal of bloodsheds than it did in the previous war namely, the battle of badme.

In somalia, woyanetplf soldiers are receiving daily spank in the form of death while their commards in the north are approaching to a relief by being ready for the mother of all the battle of those twin enemies of Ethiopia that stationed on both sides of the riverbank nearly since the end of the last known battle.

There is no way woyanaetplf will win the war in somalia so that if a war breaks out between shabiya and woyanaetplf, it is totally becoming as deadly as a reshly erupted dormant volcano engulfing whichever and whoever is in proximity.

The question is how the hell shabiya wins this battle? or how the hell woyanaetplf wins this the much anticipated battle of the enemies?

Well, the true winners in a battle against these enemies of Ethiopia are Ethiopians themselves.
