Woyanne forces bomb civilian homes in Mogadishu – AFP

August 19th, 2008 |  |  3 Comments

MOGADISHU (AFP) — Two Somalis were killed and at least ten were wounded Tuesday when Ethiopian Woyanne forces riposted with mortar shells after an Islamist insurgent attack at Mogadishu’s main market, witnesses said.

“I saw two dead bodies and three women injured by mortar shells that crashed onto their house,” said Faisal Ali, a resident of the Somali capital’s Bakara quarter, the city’s main trading centre.

Another resident, Muhubo Dahir, told an AFP correspondent on the scene that she counted seven wounded in a different location.

On Friday, more than 30 people — mainly civilians — were killed when Ethiopian Woyanne forces opened fire on two buses near Mogadishu after being attacked three times the same day, according to witnesses.

But the Ethiopian Woyanne foreign ministry denied its troops killed the civilians and put the toll at only 11.

Civilians have borne the brunt of the fighting. According to international aid organisations and rights groups, at least 6,000 have died over the past year alone.

The day of reckoning is fast approaching for terrorist TPLF. Democracy triumphed in Pakistan yesterday and no doubt that that victory of democracy reverberates beyond the borders of Pakistan. The former military dictator has a lot in common with terrorist Meles who is desperately trying to cling to power by terrorizing the Ethiopian people. Both have been utterly rejected by the people they claim to rule but they have been trying to stay in power by hiding behind ‘the war on terror’ mantra to get unreserved support from the West particularly from the U.S. That facade shattered in Pakistan months ago and with the triumph of democracy dictator Musharraf has nothing left but to resign in shame. There is also a talk of bringing him to justice. The U.S. finally sided with democracy and the people of Pakistan. The best tool to fight terrorism is the spread of democracy and empowering of the people and not abetting ruthless selfish dictators. No doubt that this triumph of democracy will soon repeat itself in Ethiopia. There are encouraging signs towards this and some of the recent developments attest to this undeniable fact. The U.S. will eventually side with the Ethiopian people and their aspirations for freedom and democracy but we need to do our part to speed up the process. We are generally in good shape but a lot remains to be done. We have to put our differences aside and work together for freedom, democracy and justice in Ethiopia. Let us work together to create conditions in which the Ethiopian people will be the judge on our differences through a democratic process. Terrorists like Meles might try to delay the onset of democracy but they can never stop its wheel from rolling and inching forward. Yesterday was a great day for democracy throughout the world but it was a very sad and unsettling day in the terrorist TPLF camp. It was a sleepless night for terrorist TPLF ring leader and members and belly-worshipping supporters of the TPLF terrorist group. In fact, terrorist Meles and his terrorist barbaric militia have been sleepless ever since the other dictator in Sudan was indicted by the ICC. The apprehension of Kardevic in Serbia made matters even worse for them and pushed them off the cliff and they are now acting like a mad dog out of desperation. No more hiding behind ‘fighting terrorism’ mantle. They are about to stand alone and naked.

I suppose the hateful Weyanes will have the nerve to dismiss this heinous crime as “Collateral damage” to borrow their American masters’ disrespecting attitude to humanity! Only, the bullets were aimed at civilian houses on purpose and all this in my name! Give me a break please. Death to Weyanes and their internal and external supporters!

TPLF is a terrorist regime and is terrorizing the peaceful somalis. Therefore, it should be labelled as a terrorist regime by USA and europe.
