Tigray elites eat until they puke while most Tigreans starve

September 5th, 2008 |  |  10 Comments

After 17 years of ruling Ethiopia, and the Tigray region unchallenged, Meles Zenawi's Tigray People Liberation Front (Woyanne) has nothing to show for other than their own enormous wealth they amassed. Meles and his crime family, with their insatiable appetite and extreme greed, have become among the richest people in Africa, while the people they claim to represent, Tigreans, remain dirt poor and hungry as this video by France 24 shows.

Not yet! hold your horses! when the other side of Tigry elite harm to Ethiopia is revealed it will break every mafiesto history from around the world. Ethiopia and Ethiopians were robbed by Tigry elites for so long but the looting and robbery that is taken place in day light is unimaginable and it will leave Ethiopia a scar that will take generations heal! God save Ethiopia and the Ethiopian people!

Actually, the current regime represents neither Ethiopia nor Tigrians.
On the other hand, the physical, clothing and hygiene of the people who are being demonstrated on the video do not correspond to the image of distressed people from extreme poverty. In addition, poor people may exist everywhere, including the richest county.
So this topic it seems that the article challenges the ethnicity rather than poor governance, economic backwardness, fundamental human rights violation and limit on social liberty that the country suffers from. More over, the article minimizes the general catastrophe that is imposed on the whole Horn of Africa by this regime.

This video shows us not to blame (scapegoats) all our Tigreans brother, sisters, mothers and fathers, but only the Tigray elites who are robbing mother Ethiopia.

The video carries little message. It shows that poverty and drought knows no boundary, no ethnicity. On the other hand, the video shows that in relative terms the people are not as desperate as in the 1984 famine, and the current famine in the Southern Ethiopia.

As to the content, it is poorly narrated. The journalist actually knows little about what is going on. The mass at the church have not changed; they are as traditional as they were. What is chanted is the Yaredian liturgy, which is indigenous to Ethiopia. Men and women pray in separate sections of the church. This prayer is done in both drought and harvest times. So what is new?

It is the separate prayer of the women that sends the message. It is now September, the time new year, the time where the adey abeba, starts bluming; and they are not there! Hence the next harvest is going to be bad. To pray in advance is prudent. If this happens anywhere, in America or Europe what would happen?

For Most of you out there ;smelling Coffee is not enough to wake you to your senses. You all need to smell you ass to weak up -that is how stinky the situation is in Ethiopia . I know most of you have Ground plus home or this or that . Some of you even shamefully afraid to stand up for your right or others . I have seen a lot of talk but no action anywhere. What are we gone do about all this robbery by Tigray elite and the rest of Hodamoch? Frankly I am for suggestion ………!

  8. Eritrawi says:

This video illustrates how the Woyanne doesn't care for the people it purports to represent, the Woyanne is supposed to represent the people of Tigray (that is how narrow minded and un-Ethiopian they are) but look at how there is no sign of real development, no terracing of the landscape to prevent erosion, no planting of trees, no irrigation schemes to benefit the rural population, as we know Ethiopia's rural population is approximately 80%, there is no development plan for the majority of Ethiopians no matter where they live or what ethnic group they belong to. The Woyanne is nothing more than a narrow minded group of criminals whose only goal is to loot the people of Ethiopia in their short reign. That is why the people of Ethiopia are up in arms and hunting these group of thugs and their puppets all over Ethiopia.

Even their real masters, the US embassy in Addis is at a loss now, they can't deal with the numerous opposition groups who are bloodying the noses of Woyanne daily, add to that the foolish adventure to Somalia and their biggest mistake to start war with Eritrea is bleeding this criminal group slowly but surely, now is the beginning of the end for Woyanne, the Ethiopian diaspora ought to know who their friend and enemy is and side with those who are genuinely fighting for true freedom. As usual Mr. Elias you are the only one telling the truth among a whole lot of fake groups and propaganda outlets of Woyanne in north America and Europe, keep doing the good work, you will be vindicated in the end.

nothing to do or not relevant, but the truth is there, all those past years in power what they done ?????????????
ONE MUST PUT PRIORITY I MEAN FOOD SCHELTER SANITATION EDUCATION AND SO::::::::
THE FACT IS ETHIOPIA NEEDS A NEW PM WHO KNOWS THE PRIORITY OF THE COUNTRY

  10. It is me says:

I think what is on the video …the prayer…is something which is done all the time even when there is adequate rainfall. It is not sth which they started to do because of shortage of food. Its relationship with the current regime is indirect in such a way that the current system should have focused on priority problems sothat the peoples life would not have been in jeopardy.

Stop lamping together the current regime with TIGREANS!!!!

Any one dreaming about ethiopia should first ask himself/herself that he won't repeat the mistakes being done by our leaders.

I am no more in a position to trust any political party/leader…..There is a kind of trend that they
transform to be devils after they secure power!
