EPPF Int’l Council official extends field trip, visits the troops

Senior official of the Ethiopian People Patriotic Front’s (EPPF) International Council, Ato Sileshi Tilahun, has returned to Asmara after visiting the freedom fighters and their commanders in the field.

Ato Sileshi held talks with EPPF commander Meazaw Getu and several other top leaders of the resistance group, as well as the fighters, at various military camps. He also met with newly arrived troops who have defected from the Woyanne army in Ethiopia.

Arbegna Meazaw informed Ato Sileshi that his fighters have successfully chased away some of the Sudanese troops who have occupied parts of Gondar after the recent give away of land by the Meles regime to Sudan in exchange for security collaboration.

Upon his arrival in Asmara two weeks ago, Ato Sileshi was warmly received by high-level Eritrean officials and held several hours of talks. The discussion included how to further improve the people to people relationship between Ethiopians and Eritreans in view of the long term stability and prosperity of the Horn of Africa region.

During the talks, Ato Sileshi thanked the Eritrean government for providing shelter to tens of thousands of Ethiopians who have fled their country after being brutalized by the Woyanne tribal junta that is controlling the government in Ethiopia.

Ethiopian Review spoke with Ato Sileshi earlier today on the phone from Eritrea’s capital Asmara about his field trip, which he described as successful. Because of some remaining items on his agenda, he has extended his tour by one more week.

  1. “During the talks, Ato Sileshi thanked the Eritrean government for providing shelter to tens of thousands of Ethiopians who have fled their country…”

I too would like to thank our brothers and sisters in Eritrea for the generosity they have rendered to all neighboring peoples and especially to Ethiopians at their hour of need. I am pretty hopeful that the day that both of our suffering peoples will work hand in hand with the Eritrean government and hopefully some responsible Ethiopian government who will replace the criminal Weyane thugs, which are destroying the entire neighborhood. Long live the eternal friendship and coexistence of the Eritrean and Ethiopian peoples! As the saying goes “United we stand, divided we fall”. Let us not allow any outside intruders, not least, the monopolistic US government come between our two naturally one people. We are “One and the same” people. The fact that Eritrea is an independent country (and it is a fact that we must accept), does not mean we can not work as one people for the exclusive benefit of our people and nobody else’s! But we can do that only, and only, if we realize that:
    • The US or any external forces could not do anything better for us than that we can do for our selves. If anything we have seen them messing up things right in front of our eyes!
    • The unity of purpose of our two peoples is A MUST if we are ever going to rid the many [man made] maladies our people suffer from.
    • More importantly, we should have a big heart – a heart of reconciliation, a heart of forgiveness, a heart of cooperation, a heart of determination, a heart of steadfastness and a heart of magnanimity. All are within our grasp and I know we can do it only if we try. Let us give it a shot!!!

  2. Beritu…that is a good word.I said it again! Beritu!!!! Enikulal kes bekes Begiru yikedal…EPPF need to fundraise every sate and every town. That is the only way to freedom.

  3. Freedom fighters fight to enslave just like Meles-Sebhat! Nothing new, that same old method. Freedom fighters pay themselves by reigning for ever just like Meles-Sebhat.
Ethiopian Patriots do not align themselves with enemies of Ethiopia-Shaabia that has enslaved the very people that bragged to set free where there was no slavery. Boof-stinkers! We are tired of Freedom Fighters!

Mr. Anonymous: To be honest, if East Africa is to have peace, Isayas and his junta should also go to hell. How does that feel? Hopefully good? If you do not feel good about this then I conclude that you are too stupid to be here on this forum. You are pocking on the eyes of Ethiopia claiming that you are grooming her. (kohalo’ya mesilen’si menqoro!) Read the above quote, Elias!

  5. Poor Mezgebe of Chicago,

“atayo lawey lawey iKa tenqa’Err”? It is the usual inferiority complex that got you and your likes where you are. But as to the rest of us, (hopefully the majority) we wanted nothing less than peace and tranquility. Isaias is Eritreans’ business, not ours. Why don’t you mind our own business – the business of Ethiopia before you jump into issues of neighboring country. Let us get our house in order first.

  6. To Mezgebe of Chicago,

You sound a little depressed by the good news coming from Ethiopia and the natural friendship between the people of Ethiopia and Eritrea, there is one ideology that will be hurt by the genuine friendship and brotherly relationship of the Ethiopian and Eritrean people, the MLLT Abay Tigray pipe dream, the only way the MLLT pipe dream will see the light of day when the people of Ethiopia are divided among themselves and creating enemies in the name of the Ethiopian people that is being done by Woyanne at this time, the Ethiopian people are tired of it and have risen to wipe out the dangerous MLLT (Marxist Lennist League of Tigray). Don’t worry about President Isaias, he is Eritrean and the people of Eritrea love, all you have to do is watch EriTV somewhere in Chicago and you will see the president going to every part of the country visiting, listening to concerns and giving advice whenever he can and the people can’t have enough of him because he is trusted by his people. I wonder if your role model Melles can do that, the only place he can trust is the palace of Haile Selassie with a battlion size body guard unit around him.

  7. Long live Ethiopia and our EPPF freedom fighters! Long live the friendship between the peoples of Ethiopia and Eritrea! May God bless and protect all of our freedom fighters. The road is hard but your military victory is certain.

  8. Yenatulij:
Labey minqirrar!Denine eye lireeleku! You missed my point.
Meles and Isayas came out of the same woumb of Lenin. Both should go that East Africa may have peace. Neither of them is fit to rule, both are tyrants. Do you mean to say you want to use the Dirty baby-killer Isayas to clean up Ethiopia? This is POLITICAL KISARA, indeed. I hope you are not my friend wedi 70. This is Mezgebe Berhe your friend.

  9. Back to Yenatulij:
One point! Why do you think I have inferiority complex? I am inferior to who? Leynayey! I know no human being on Earth above or under who could make me feel that. I have never bowed down to any one but God and God alone, my creator and redeemer. First and most I am thankful to God I am born Ethiopian and second Tsuruy Tigraway. Hitiktak Zeybila! I am still wondering, if you are the one I know wedi 70 and therefore, I refuse to be harsh on you. The vocabulary appears familiar.

    Have a great day!
Mezgebe Wedi-Hadush Berhe who resides in Elgin IL

  10. Mr. Eritrawi:
One thing: you are black as I am and not red, therfore do not call yourslef Eritriawi. It is a colonial-given name.
It is not to be bragged about. It is rather humiliating indeed. I disagree with you in the fact you stated that Ethiopians and Eritreans are friends. I say they are one and one people. No matter what the Grazianists dreamed to do with you and the rest of Ethiopia.
It is also a shame for you to tell me that Isayas is loved by his people. It is tantamount to saying Meles is loved by all Ethiopians. Both must go into oblivion. Both are deqi-sheramut and bandits.

  11. One who experienced a war doesn’t wish it unless imposed on him/her, well then there is no choice. Which brings EPPF’s delema to wage war. I for my self the Unity of the people of East Africa is the way forward, and god help us.
