Ethiopian Review introduces a new tool for its readers. You can now type Amharigna, Oromigna, Guragigna, Tigrigna and all the other Ethiopian languages on any computer with an Internet connection and Ge’ez Unicode fonts. All you have to do is go to this page
www.ethiopianreview.com/ethiopia/amharic.html
and start typing in the box. See the character map for reference.
You don’t have to install any software, but need to download a Ge’ez font, if you don’t have one already installed.
You can copy what you write, past and email it or save it on your word processing program such as Microsoft Word. You can also type your comments in Amharic and paste it in Ethiopian Review’s comments box or Forum to express your views in Amharic. See examples below.

I hope your bold statement on the possibility of writing in Ethiopian fonts is a true message to the diaspora population. If you remember, at the 2006 Los Angles Ethiopian Sports Fedration festival, we were sold a software by the name “Geez Simple”. Guess what,
after bringing the software home, it was a big disappointment. What was purchased was a sales pitch garbage. I believe hundreds of people were cheated out of their pockets. A class action need to start against this company.
It is our hope that your announcement is not another sales pitch.

Why did you delete my comments. It is not against any one. I just posted my opinion based on the fact. Yes indeed Afaan Oromoo and other Kushitic anguages are using the Latin script since the Sabian or Gee’ez script is deficient.
Most of the time I see you guys fighting for the freedom of expresion, but this time you don’t even allow my comments to be posted.

ለመላው አገር ወዳድ ኢትዮጵያውያን ሰሞኑን የምንሰማው ሹክሹክታ የቅንጅት መሪዎች መምጣትና አለመምጣት ከ20 ወደ 29 መሸጋገር ብሎም አሁን በይፋ የምንሰማው ጭራሽ እንደማይመጡ ነው በሌላ በኩል ደግሞ ዶር ብርሀኑ ነጋ ለብቻው ወደ ለንደን ወደ ኩዌትና አሁን ደግሞ አሜሪካን በድብቅ እንደገባ ሰምተናል ይህም የተደረገው በአሜሪካ አቀነባባሪነት ከ ኦነግና ከ ኦንልፍ ጋር በድብቅ ለመወያየት እንደሆነ ምንጮቻችን ጠቁመዋል ጥያቄያችን ለምን የቅንጅት መሪዎች እንዳይወጡ ታገዱ እና ዶር ብርሀኑ ነጋ ግን አንደፈቀደው ካንዱ አገር ወደ አንዱ አገር አለገደብ መዘዋወር ቻለ ነው እሱ የቅንጅት አባል አይደለም ማለት ነው ወይንስ በ91 ለንድን ላይ በኸርማን ኮህን የተደረገው ኢትዮጵያን ማፍረስ አሁን ተዋንያኑና ስፍራውን ብቻ በመቀየር ታሪክ እራሱን እየደገመ ነው ውድ ወገኖቼ ይህንን ጉዳይ ትኩረት በመስጠት አካሄዳቸው ወዴት እንደሆነ በቅርብ ሆነን በመመርመርና በመከታተል ውድ ሀገራችንን እንታደጋት …ቸር ያሰማን
