A group of Ethiopian resistance fighters who claim to belong to Ethiopian Unity and Justice Movement have attacked a Woyanne police station and other targets in the northern Ethiopian town of Shoa Robit over the weekend.
The head of Shoa Robit Police told Ethiopian Review correspondent in Addis Ababa that the rebels attacked his station with hand grenades and that one of them has been detained. He was not willing to say if there was any causality from the Woyanne police.
After carrying out the attack, the rebels returned to their base in northern Wollo, according to their spokesman, Asrat Hailu.
Ato Asrat told Ethiopian Review that the Movement carried out similar missions in Merhabite, Fitra and other towns several months ago.

ግንቦት ሰባትን በመደገፍ ፣ በተለያዩ የአለማችን ከተሞች ኢትዮጵያዉያን በወያኔ-ኢሕአዴግ ላይ ያላቸዉን ተቃዉሞ ሲያሰሙ እንደነበረ በሰፊዉ ተዘግቧል። የግንቦት ሰባት ፓርቲ ሊቀመንበር የሆኑት ዶ/ር ብርሃኑ ነጋ፣ አንጋፋዉ ኢትዮጵያዊ አቶ አንዳረጋችዉ እንዲሁም ሌሎች በርካታ ኢትዮጵያዉያን ለመሳሪያ ትግሉ ያላቸዉን ቁርጠኝነት እያሳዩ ነዉ።
በተመሳሳይ ሁኔታ ግንቦት ሰባተንበመደገፍ አስራ ስምንት ቀን በኦንቶሪዮና ኬቤክ የሚገኙ ኢትዮጵያዉያንና የኢትዮጵያ ወዳጆች ወያኔ-ኢሕአዴግን በመቃወም፣ ከነ ዶ/ር ብርሃኑ ጎን መቆማቸዉን ለማረጋገጥ በካናዳ ትልቁ ከተማ በሆነችዋ የቶሮንቶ ከተማና፣ በካናዳ ዋና ከተማ ኦታዋ ትልቅ የገንዘብ ማሰባሰብ ይደርጋሉ።
የተለያዩ የተቃዋሚ ድርጅቶች እርስ በርስ በነበራቸዉ አለመስማማት በቶሮንቶና ኦታዋ ብዙ መኖር የነበረበት ትልቅ እንቅስቃሴ መኖር እንደነበረበት ያለልነበረ እንደሆነ የታወቀ ነዉ። ነገር ግን አሁን በቶሮንቶና ኦታዋ ያሉ ኢትዮጵያዉያን በአንድነት መሰባሰባቸዉና መተባበራችዉ ለትግሉ ትልቅ ድል ለወያኔ-ኢሕአዴግ ደግሞ መርዶ እንደሆነ የሚያሳይ ነዉ የሚሉ ብዙዎች ናቸዉ።
ኢትዮጵያዉያን አሁንም በግፍ እየተገደሉ ሲሆን፣ ገዢዉን ፓርቲ ባሰችኩያ በመሳሪያ ሃየል በቁርጠኝነት ለመስበር ብሎም በጉልበቱ ለማበርከክ ግንቦት 7 የሚችለዉን እያደረገ ነዉ::በነፍሰ ገዳዮች ላይ ሁሉ ግንቦት 7 ሁሉን አቀፍ እረምጃ ይዎሰዳል ፡፡ ወያኔ መሰለዉ እንጂ ግንቦት 7 ላይ እየወሰደ ያለዉን እኩይ ተግባር በቀጠለ ቁጠር፣ እራሱን እየጎዳና እየገደለ እንደሆነ የሚናገሩ ጥቂቶች አይደሉም።
«ለወያኔ የፖለቲካ ክስረት ከማምጣቱም በተጨማሪም፣ በኢትዮጵያዉያን ላይ እያደረሰ ያለዉ ግፍ ኢትዮጵያዉያንን አንድ እያደረገ እንደሆነ በቶሮንቶና በኦታዋ የሚደረገዉ የገንዘብ ድጋፍ ያሳያል» የሚሉ ተንታኞች፣ «ግንቦት 7 ከተመስረተ ጀምሮ አለም አቀፍ እዉቅናዋ ታይቶ በማይታወቅ መንገድ ያደገ ከመሆኑም የተነሳ፣ በኢትዮጵያዉያን ዘንድ ከቀድሞ ተቃዋሚዎቿ ሁሉ ሳይቀር አክብሮትና ፍቅርን እየተችረዉ እንደሆነ በሰፊዉ እየታየ ነዉ» ያላሉ።
የካናዳዉን የገንዘብ ሰብሰባ በሁለቱም ከተሞች ከ 12፡ እስከ 1:30 የሚደረግ ሲሆን፣ ዜናዎች እንደደረሰን በሰፊዉ እንደምንዘግብ እየገለጽን እንድትከታተሉ ጥሪ እናቀርባለን።

That is exactly how weyane start operations against Mengistu. What is the problem now if the rebels attack weyane's police stations, they are not civilians any way. I think it is the begining of the end of weyaniawians.
