The organizational affairs head of EPPF’s International Committee, Ato Sileshi Tilahun, was a guest at the Ethiopian Current Affairs Discussion Forum’s paltalk room this afternoon.

The interview had focused on Ato Sileshi’s recent trip to Eritrea, interview with President Isaias Afwerki, and meetings with EPPF leaders.

Ato Sileshi said the interview with President Isaias has helped change the attitude of many Ethiopians toward the Government of Eritrea, and expressed his hope that other Ethiopians will travel to Eritrea and see things for themselves.

Regarding EPPF, Ato Sileshi said that it was his 5th trip to Eritrea in the past 4 years and at this particular trip he has observed significant improvements, including the opening of the organization’s headquarters in Asmara, the opening of a press office, and the launching of a radio program that is heard through out Ethiopia and eastern Africa.

In the military sphere, several hundred new recruits are currently completing their training, and the EPPF continues to engage Woyanne in the battlefield, Ato Sileshi said.

  1. I hope Ginbot 7 follow the path to free Ethiopia like EPPF. It is time Ginbot 7 use their radio to report actions and movements first hand from where it is happening. Second hand report is for VOA or the the German radio. EPPF with OLF, ONLF is doing heroic actions against TPLF and the group who suppose to organize them is not involved or afraid of PIA, and G7 need to know there is no way they get victory against TPLF from Berkeley university or Ethiopian restaurant in DC. Leaders are who show conviction to their goal and exploit opportunities to their advantage, it is not a popularity contest. It is time for action!!!!!
    Go G7
    Regards!!!!

  2. Have a safe trip and come back with good and uniting news. We need unity more than ever. There are lots of things to do ahead of us. Seleshi, good luck with your interview. I hope you will represent EPPF as well as you did with the PIA’s interview. Leadership and unity. Go EPPF!!

  3. Way to go EPPF, this Ethiopian patriotic organization has a bright future and will be a catalyst for unity and equality among all Ethiopians. It is led by dedicated patriots inside Ethiopia. The overwhelming Ethiopians in the diaspora has to join and support this organization to help bring about a just and peaceful Ethiopia in the near future.

  4. URGENT! On Saturday June 6, Brave Ethiopians in Washington DC area must go to Weyane embassy in washington to demonstrate, disrupt the meeting, and take fotos of those killer and hodam ethiopians who are invited to Aboy Tsehay meeting and collaborate with TPLF and expose them in the media. call the embassy for further information.
Same has been done in Europe.

  5. It is not Weyane, it is not Derg , it is not Hailsslassie, We all are responsible for all what happened to the country. We cannot hid our mistakes by the saying the “Goverment” always. Generations have passed without any improvement. Don’t forgate these goverment officials are the sons and doughters of Ethiopia. I am feeling that we all sit on our pc and crying by looking bad news from the media about the country. It is time for us to work in every aspect what ever possible. Guys it is not the poletics that the ethiopian people need , it is the economics. I believe the economics has to come first and then it possible to talk about democracy bla bla. There is not any country who succeed democracy before growth in economy. Don’t you think that millions of people working under the goverment practice what they don’t want in every aspect. It is a economy that forces to carry that all burden. The problem is even we here in the better world didn’t undertand it. There have been poletical movements 70 years ago and it is the same as today. We are so busy talking about it. Doing nothing to the poor mother, child , generations for tomorrow’s Ethiopia. In the past 50 years, the country created opportunites education for few of her citizens but they left by throwing a stone on the stone. Then they cry here in outside “I love Ethiopia” and enslave themsleves for the white, giving nothing other than foriegn country for thier child. I believe if we love our country, we have to create a movement in every aspect being inside the country , on the ground not sitting outside. For those of “Ethiopians” here outside who could creat great difference (but hid themslves for the white ham) if they were in the country, I don’t want to say that they are “Ethiopians”. They better leave all the matters to the Ethiopians. God bless Ethiopia!

  7. Just by looking at the way this interview was conducted by Elias and Sileshi, I get this feeling that these are genuine Ethiopians trying to speak for the rest of us and bring a lasting solution to the burning issues we face today as a country. majority of us either don’t have the power or just not equipped to do what these guys are doing on behalf of the ethiopian people. I salute you Elias and Sileshe and the many patriotic ethiopians that are working day and night to bring about unity amongst all ethiopians and the forseeable downfall of woyane!
I tear up when I see the sacrifices you are making.
Bertu! the rest of us are behind you!

  8. Im an ERitrean I always support EPPF and now Im glad the southern Ehiopian people for justice and equallity have changed their name and their flag.their flag is now the Ethiopian Flag the same as Eppf tigrai(tpdm)and i hope now like the onlf olf fight for the same cause to librate their country.

  9. as i have been saying EPPF is going all the way to free ethiopia and the ethiopian, today pal-talk was more eye opener not just for me but for every ethiopian who want and to be free and free ethiopia and ethiopian people.

we ethiopian are ready to fight, to give our life for freedom of our country and people, after today i hope every ethiopian understand what EPPF is all about,

    Long leave EPPF
    Onethiopia

  10. We, Ethiopians did not want to take this road. We wanted a peaceful and democratic way of governance. But the TPLF minority leaders responded to our peaceful and democratic demand with bullets that killed many well wishing Ethiopians. Such killing has been going on for the last 18 years.
Now the Sons and daughters of Ethiopia are saying enough is enough to this TPLF administration whose only ambition is to stay in power by killings, invading countries, looting the wealth of Ethiopia.
We are responding with the language the TPLF understands, i.e, militarily. No doubt we will be victorious and Meles’s wish will be fulfilled.
Do you all remember these words from Meles? ” We took the power through fighting and if you want to come to power you have to fight for it”. Although his remarks were condescending to mean that the Amhara, Oromo and other Ethiopians would never fight for their right.
It was wrongly assumed that our patience and peaceful demand for equality and democratic way of governance as weakness. Our patience and cool headedness was mistken for weakness.
Meles, you better be ready now the sons and daughters of Ethiopia are coming to talk to you with the only language you understand. The language of Force to force you outof your Tribal adiminstation from the face of Ethiopia for good.
    FORCE will deliver your wishes.

    Amen,

    Viva EPPF!!

  11. This is good started and we support full till the woyane fall. Thanks Sillesh and the other.
The woyanes time is nummbred and I am so glad to be the part of you and gonbet 7.say hello to EPPF

  12. I am feeling the popularity of EPPF is increase dramatically after the historical Interview with Isaias Afwerki. I think roll models like sileshi and Elias are needed most at this important time.

  13. I always thought that to effect change in Ethiopia the following two need to be met:

    * To accept as a matter of fact that only through armed struggle can Ethiopians free themselves from the TPLF rule. Seeking solution through peaceful political negotiation is nothing short of daydreaming and self deception simply because there is no one to negotiate with and there is no political space for it.

    * Any fighting force needs a safe rear base to organize itself and launch its initial operations before relocating into the country. At the moment, Eritrea is perhaps the only option for the task. Yet many Ethiopians would consider any one associated with Eritrea as the worst imagineable of all traitors.

The recent thawing of Ethiopian opposition groups towards Eritrea is an indication of both political maturity and pragmatism and needs to be commended. The alternative is to hold teethless conferences abroad and beat empty drums while allowing the enslavement of poor Ethiopians by the Woyanne to continue unabated.
