Kinijit Canada has launched its web site (kinijit.ca) today. It s with great pleasure and pride that we announce our desire to work jointly with all democratic forces and of human rights advocates.
As you all are well aware, the spirit of kinijt has been the deriving force behind the peaceful political actions of democratic heroism in Ethiopia. In this regard, our task emains to be to support our people attain their dream. We strongly believe that in thiopia, at last, the dream of our people for the prevalence of peace, rule of law, unity nd prosperity shall triumph.
The ruthless dictator of Woyanne/EPRDF needs to be challenged, more than any time before, in every possible way to succumb to the will of our people, to unconditionally release our leaders and all political prisoners.
To this end, we Canadians of Ethiopian origin, organised under the umbrella of Kinijit International, shall
*make every effort to educate and inform the government of Canada;
*persistently address our representatives in the House of Commons, and the Senate;
*and reach all human right advocates in Canada to use what ever means at their disposal to help the Ethiopian people in their peaceful struggle to bring about the rule of law.
