TPLF regime again disseminating misleading statements

Lately, the TPLF regime as usual has been issuing misleading statements as if it has accepted the EEBC ruling without precondition, in a bid to mislead the Ethiopian people and the international community.

However, as clearly spelt out in the message that the regime’s Foreign Minister sent to the President of the UN Security Council on 8 June 2007, apart from the fact that the TPLF stance has only assumed more misleading phrases, there is no change at all in essence. Although, the TPLF regime claimed it had accepted the ruling of 13 April 2002, it is putting forth dialogue as a precondition in the implementation of the Commission’s ruling.

The EEBC ruling of 2002 asserts that the verdict is solely meant to be directly implemented as final and binding. As such the TPLF, in its latest precondition, has rejected the Boundary Commission’s ruling; because delimitation and demarcation constitute inseparable decision of the EEBC ruling.
