It is sooo….true. Yes it is poverty. It is helplessness and hopelessness. If I add one more, it is also a moral obligation originated from our culture. “Though shall respect the elders, leaders.. etc” all these forged into poverty, as you correctley put it.

  2. The following factors may empower disobedience to attack tyrants’ weaknesses:

    1. Stopping riding a buss or a taxi
    2. Stopping riding in a train
    3. Stopping flying in an airplane
    4. Stopping going to work (nurses and doctors are exempted)
    5. Stopping going to school
    6. Stopping marketing any goods
    7. Staying in one’s own house
    8. Boycotting anything that comes from, and goes to, Woyanne’s regime
    9. Helping financially those who cannot survive without the Woyanne’s handout during the stoppages of work
    10. Monitoring the stoppages very closely if it is working or not

    Consequences that may weaken disobedience:

    1. Woyanne may cut the electricity
    2. Woyanne may cut the water
    3. Woyanne may stop garbage collecting
    4. Woyanne may try to break the silent disobedience team by bribing some of the groups
    5. Woyanne may threaten some of the citizens to send to jail for a number of years
    6. Woyanne may put a curfew for fear of losing its power
    7. Woyanne may make fake promises to break the silent disobedience
    8. Woyanne may force Church leaders to intervene
    9. Woyanne may convene the parliament and tell his drastic message against the silent disobedience
    10. Woyanne finally may order about one hundred thousand death squads to go to each house and arrest most of the citizens if not all of them

    Then What?

  3. If all these who shed crocodile tears stop blaming the victim, that would be a change in their bad culture to begin hope to end exploitation and silence.

  4. Assta;
You brought the factors that empower disobedience.
Your brought the consequences that may weaken disobedience.
Now go to the third step and write ten counter measures to deflect the consequences.

  5. Dear Warde #5,

To fight back the consequences, we may use the following weapons:

    1. If Woyanne cuts the electricity, use candles or lamps.
    2. If Woyanne cuts your water, use well water. If you don’t have one, use your neighbor’s.
    3. If Woyanne refuses to collect your garbage, burn it.
    4. Isolate those you suspect are bribed by Woyanne.
    5. Ignore Woyanne’s threat.
    6. Respect the curfew.
    7. Don’t be tempted by Woyanne’s empty promises.
    8. Revere the Church and tell her why you are against Woyanne.
    9. No one represents you in the parliament; therefore, don’t buy what the parliament says.
    10. Woyanne cannot arrest or kill all the citizens of Addis Ababa so be firm on what you are doing and try to spread the boycott to other Ethiopian cities and towns

  6. Terrorist Elias Kifle: When will you give yourself up to the Ethiopian people and face the music? I can’t wait to attend your hanging ceremony!!!! Ethiopians will celebrate that special day!!!! You are not only a traitor, but also a coward.
